Our Centre of Excellence in Witney is at the heart of innovation, producing electrodes and biosensors that support the day-to-day management of diabetes. The site has played a key role in the development of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System and its successors, including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and Libre Sense.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior EHS Specialist to join our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team in Witney. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our operations safe and compliant. You’ll interpret business standards and UK regulations, ensure these are reflected in site policies and procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to aid implementation.
You’ll share your expertise in areas such as:
1. Contractor management
2. Incident response and investigation
3. Compliance audits
4. Managing specific EHS programmes tailored to site needs
ABOUT YOU:
You’ll be an ambitious and proactive EHS professional with strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across the business
.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
5. A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or be working towards this)
6. A degree in Science or Engineering (beneficial but not essential)
7. Broad EHS experience, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment
8. Excellent communication and time management skills
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
We will also consider applicants with a NEBOSH General Certificate and suitable experience who are working towards a Diploma or equivalent.
