Traditional Build Apartments | £240 per day | 6-Month Contract
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a residential apartment project in Uckfield. This is a 6-month contract role, offering £240 per day, working on a traditional build development.
The Role
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing subcontractors on site
Oversee traditional build apartment works (brickwork, blockwork, roofing, internal trades, etc.)
Monitor health & safety compliance and ensure site regulations are upheld
Support quality control and inspections
Coordinate deliveries and materials
Ensure work is completed in line with programme schedules
Maintain site records and assist with progress reporting
Conduct inductions and toolbox talks when required
Requirements
Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager on apartment schemes
Strong background in traditional build construction
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS
CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
First Aid at Work certificate
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and support the Site Manager effectively
Contract Details
Rate: £240 per day
Duration: 6 months
