Job Summary
Banbury Cross Health Centre is a 42,000 patient practice located in Banbury. We provide high‑quality care at scale while maintaining a warm and friendly workplace. Clinical support ensures ample time for patient care and professional development.
Key elements of the role:
* 12 routine 15‑minute appointments per session.
* Local Home Visiting service (less than 1 visit per week).
* Annual leave: 6 weeks plus study leave pro rata and an extra well‑being day.
* Surgery hours 08.30–18.30.
* In‑house educational programme and alternating weekly clinical and GP meetings.
* No out‑of‑hours or weekend commitments.
* Daily debrief over coffee for all clinicians; multidisciplinary team available.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced GP who is motivated, independent and able to provide high‑quality services to a varied and deprived population.
* Deliver day‑to‑day general practice at our large Banbury surgery.
* Cover care homes and private school ward rounds.
* Supervise GP registrars/F2s and advise allied health professionals.
* Manage a patient list and assist in meeting QOF targets.
* Work flexibly across different sites and, where agreed, include some weekend hours.
Qualifications & Experience
* Recognised Medical Degree (MBChB, MBBS or equivalent).
* Full GMC registration – Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and National Performers List registration.
* GP Vocational or additional experience in general practice.
* MRCGP qualification desirable.
