About the Role
Courier Cars London is looking for caring, responsible and reliable Passenger Assistants to support our school transport service for children with special needs. You will play a key role in ensuring that children are transported safely and with care during their school journeys.
As a Passenger Assistant, you will:
* Accompany a driver to collect children from their homes.
* Knock on the child's door and escort them safely to the vehicle.
* Ensure the child is seated securely and safely strapped in.
* Assist the child out of the vehicle upon arrival at school and hand them over to school staff.
* Communicate promptly with the office regarding any incidents or concerns.
* Always prioritise the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care.
Working Hours & Benefits
* Term-time only (no work during school holidays).
* Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons (school run times).
* Typically around 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, although some routes may be longer.
* Free time in between runs – ideal for those wanting part-time, structured hours.
* Pick-up and drop-off directly from your home by the driver.
* Fixed pay per journey, depending on the length of the route.
Requirements
* Must have an Enhanced DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one).
* Caring, patient, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
* Committed to safeguarding children and prioritising their safety at all times.
* Punctual and ready to be collected from home at the same time every day.
