Our EINTAC business in an Approved Centre for IMI Training in EV Safety. Our approach to winning new business is by offering an authoritative, consultative service, gaining trust and helping customers solve practical health and safety problems, typically in process control and operational and maintenance procedures.
With a passionate team of 10 and a reputation for exceptional customer service, we are looking for a driven and technically skilled individual to join us at a pivotal stage in our growth.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Mechanical Support Engineer to join our team. Initially, your focus will be on managing technical inquiries, supporting product design and specification, and assisting with field work when required. For the right candidate this role will quickly evolve to include team leadership and strategic input, making it ideal for someone who wants to take the next step in their career into a senior management position.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice to customers on product selection, technical specifications, and safety compliance
* Lead or support the design and adaptation of safety equipment solutions for bespoke requirements
* Manage and resolve technical inquiries from customers and internal teams
* Support technical field visits, including site assessments and product demonstrations
* Work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure technical accuracy and consistency
* Assist in maintaining up-to-date technical documentation, certifications, and product data
* Over time, take on leadership responsibilities such as:
o Mentoring junior staff
o Driving product innovation and process improvements
o Contributing to sales strategy and customer relationship development
o Leading technical training and internal upskilling
About You
* Strong technical background in engineering, safety equipment, or a related field
* Experience with technical sales support, product design, or specification work
* Confident communicator, comfortable in customer-facing roles
* Practical and hands-on when required - willing to visit sites and support in the field
* A problem-solver who thrives on variety and challenge
* Ambitious and ready to grow into a leadership position over time
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or HND in engineering, safety systems, or a related technical discipline
* Familiarity with UK safety standards and regulations
* Experience in a small to medium-sized business environment
* Leadership potential or experience in managing small teams is a bonus
