Job Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of a wide range of specialised transport services, including specialist home to school transport, Youth offending, CFCS, Adult Social Care, and Respite short breaks for internal and external clients.
* Monitor contract performance through site visits and investigate issues reported by service users or clients.
* Ensure adherence to National and County Council safeguarding and child protection measures.
* Oversee the procurement and evaluation of best value ad-hoc transport for client departments.
* Evaluate Direct Travel Assistance Payments (DTAP) for parents and carers.
* Review and analyze contract performance against agreed specifications or service level agreements, assist in service reviews, and identify opportunities for efficiency savings, including site visits across the County.
* Identify savings by converting ad hoc contracts into longer-term contracts through efficient procurement.
* Ensure all service users have a certified Transport Care Plan when required, by liaising with care professionals and schools.
* Assess service development opportunities in collaboration with colleagues, clients, members of the public, and other stakeholders.
* Use bespoke software systems to maintain accurate financial and client information and generate reports as required.
* Verify payments to suppliers and clients, and monitor revenue returns where appropriate.
* Support Transport Officers in delivering service priorities and deputize for the Officers when required.
* Engage directly with clients and suppliers, maintaining a high level of customer care.

* Action transport requests within appropriate timescales.
* Treat all service users in accordance with the Customer Care Policy.
* Ensure all contracts operate in accordance with service specifications and resolve any issues or disputes.
* Provide transport in a safe manner, offering protection and security to vulnerable users.
* Deliver transport solutions within the allocated budget.
* Offer parents an alternative to direct transport that meets their requirements and provides best value for the Authority.
* Ensure contracts and services are delivered properly, identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency savings to meet budget requirements.
* Investigate and communicate service efficiencies to all stakeholders, ensuring practical and deliverable solutions are found.
* Manage contract costs efficiently.
* Ensure all service users are transported safely and professionally, meeting their medical or physical needs.
* Provide accurate and timely budget information to client departments and commissioning officers.
* Ensure suppliers and clients receive prompt payment and that revenue streams are recorded efficiently.
* Maintain a high-quality and reliable service from the Transport Solutions team, meeting service level agreement standards.
* Ensure client satisfaction with the service provided.
