Job Overview:
Job Objectives and Responsibilities
* Effectively support and assist the SOM in managing the performance of a designated region, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained officers to the complete satisfaction of those stores/clients.
* Deputise for the SOM during times of absence and take full responsibility for the operational performance of the allocated business in relation to overall targets set, ensuring compliance with key SLA's/KPI's.
* Maintain and promote the Mitie brand and reputation by providing industry-leading security services.
* Maximise the efficiency of officer deployment using systems and technology to deliver intelligence-led services based on risk and data analysis.
* Contribute to the success of the Sainsbury's contract through effective training and ongoing colleague coaching.
* Support the customer and ensure the timely completion of crime-related reporting and activities.
Main Duties
* Deliver results that meet or exceed budget and service requirements, with full responsibility and accountability.
* Deliver Mitie company induction and comprehensive STARS training for new security officers from induction to probation sign-off.
* Ensure all officers receive required corporate training documentation and follow-up on personnel development plans.
* Support officers in SMART system compliance and uphold officer standards.
* Deliver focus topics and ad hoc training as identified by the business.
* Provide ongoing support to officers to embed learning.
* Manage performance, PIP, and development plans for officers as needed.
* Participate in the Mitie duty manager roster.
* Identify and rectify behaviors or situations endangering health & safety in a timely manner, in line with company policies.
* Support initial investigations of QHSE incidents and complete full investigations during SOM absence.
* Ensure uniform standards adherence and undertake responsibilities during SOM absence.
* Maintain communication, recognize achievements, and develop the Mitie community.
* Undertake duties related to void properties, including inspections and audits within designated areas.
