Overview
dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal and Travelbag. We now have an opportunity for a qualified Finance Manager (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) to join our Management Accounts Team at Lancaster House in Leyland (Lancashire).
As our Finance Manager, you’ll produce monthly management accounts including all supporting activities and schedules. You’ll prepare additional reports and supporting schedules for quarterly reporting and the year end audit as well as supporting other key finance tasks such as VAT returns.
This is a hybrid role, based 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
Accountabilities
* Produce management accounts that are reviewed to highlight variances to budget/forecast; including accruals, prepayments, analysis of accounts and key P&L reconciliations
* Assist with production of supporting schedules for annual statutory accounts & tax returns
* Analysis of monthly costs & investigation of variances to budget/forecast
* Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed in line with group timetable and any issues are highlighted, investigated and actioned
* Investigate and report on significant variances against budget/forecast
* Identify P&L & BS risks/opportunities that may affect forecasts
* Assist with preparation of annual budgets & monthly and quarterly forecasts
* Hold regular aged debtor & creditor meetings and ensure aged items are investigated and cleared
* Liaise with internal and external auditors & provide accurate & timely information to aid a smooth auditing process
* Identify inefficient processes and propose changes
* Oversee the preparation of VAT and other regulatory returns
* Manage intercompany reconciliation process and settlement
Qualifications and Experience
* CIMA, ACCA qualified or equivalent
* Previous experience in a busy, dynamic Finance department in a diverse team
* A proven track record of producing management accounts to strict deadlines
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Able to work to strict deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Experience of Sage (Sage X3 desirable)

* Travel industry knowledge/experience
* Experience of working with external auditors
