Previous experience and knowledge: Academic background in Computer engineering or STEM degree. Experience: 5 years in IT and at least 2-3 years in security. Security Knowledge: Familiarity with security principles, best practices, and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR. Risk Assessment: Ability to assess and mitigate security risks, including identifying vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate controls. Incident Response: Proficiency in detecting, analysing, and responding to security incidents. Technical Proficiency: Understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and security tools such as firewalls, intrusion Template detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software. Security Monitoring: Experience with security monitoring tools and techniques to identify and respond to security threats. Penetration Testing: Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, tools and assessments. Security Policy Development: Ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and protect company assets. Preferred: Security Certifications such as Security, SANS or CISSP. Languages: Languages: English (C1). Spanish is highly valuable. Overview Opportunity to join the IT Security UK Team. We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Cyber Security Specialist. Working closely with the UK Security Manager, as well as the wider CIB Corporate Security Team, based in Madrid and New York, this will be a varied, hands-on role, spanning multiple disciplines within the Security domain. Furthermore, as the position has a highly operational focus, you will be working closely with colleagues across the Engineering UK area. The ideal candidate will have solid technical knowledge and working practices. combined with the ability to interact with people of diverse professional profiles.
