This is a rapidly growing and dynamic EV and Automotive business based in the City of London. They provide rapid EV charging points situated across several locations over the UK, with their network being powered by renewable energy.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a savvy Finance Data Analyst to join their finance department, and cross-collaborate with IT.
Role
Reporting into the CFO, the Finance Data Analyst will be delivering accurate financial reporting as well as maintaining the company's operational dashboards & data models. They will take on a number of key duties including:
1. Lead on data analytics and BI, developing Power BI dashboards and delivering insights on key operational and financial KPIs.
2. Leverage AI and modern data tools to automate reporting and enhance decision-making across the business.
3. Ensure data quality and integrity, working closely with data engineering teams.
4. Support the month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
5. Prepare management accounts, reporting packs and variance analysis for senior stakeholders.
6. Combine financial and operational data to drive commercial understanding and business performance.
7. Contribute to process improvements, systems optimisation and ad hoc projects.
Profile
The ideal profile for this Finance Data Analyst position, should have the following:
8. 1-2 years of experience in a similar Data Analyst / Finance Analyst position.
9. Proficiency with the use of Power BI (report building, data modelling etc.)
10. Strong Excel experience.
11. Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
12. A genuine interest in accounting and pursuing a relevant qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
13. Experience with Xero would be advantageous.
