Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced originator to join a highly regarded structured finance team focused on complex and relationship-led property lending.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions across investment, development, and portfolio lending, working closely with the credit, portfolio management, and treasury teams to deliver tailored solutions.
You will have autonomy to originate your own business pipeline while leveraging a strong balance sheet, flexible mandate, and reputation for executing sophisticated deals.
Key Responsibilities
* Originate and structure new real estate lending opportunities, focusing on complex or multi-asset transactions and portfolio finance.
* Develop and maintain relationships with property developers, investors, brokers, and advisors to source high-quality opportunities.
* Analyse borrower requirements and structure appropriate lending solutions across senior, stretch senior, and structured positions.
* Oversee the end-to-end deal process, from initial screening and financial analysis through to credit presentation, negotiation, and execution.
* Manage and nurture existing borrower relationships, identifying cross-sell or refinancing opportunities within the portfolio.
Key Requirements
Essential:
* Proven track record (typically 5+ years) in real estate origination or structured property lending.
* Strong understanding of complex deal structuring, including portfolio, holdco/propco, and multi-asset facilities.
* Experience in development, investment, or mixed-use property lending within a bank or non-bank lender.
* Excellent credit and analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and present clear recommendations.
* Established network of brokers, developers, and investors within the UK property market.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead client discussions confidently.
