Registered Manager – Bedfont Lane Children’s Home at London Borough of Hounslow. This role leads the strategic, operational, and regulatory aspects of a newly established children’s residential home, ensuring child-centred care and compliance with Ofsted and statutory regulations.

Role Responsibilities
* Lead recruitment, development and management of residential staff.
* Manage care planning and safeguarding procedures.
* Build strong relationships with children, families and professionals.
* Ensure the home meets Quality Standards and delivers positive outcomes for children.
* Lead service innovation and continuous improvement; chair working groups and contribute to policy development.
* Engage in ongoing training and development; provide supervision and mentoring to staff.
* Shape a service from the ground up with integrity and a focus on lasting change for children and families.
About The Team
The Children’s Safeguarding and Specialist Services team protects and promotes the welfare of vulnerable children and young people. The Registered Manager will report to senior leadership, supervise the Assistant Team Manager, and collaborate with social workers, health professionals, and education providers to ensure holistic care planning and service delivery.
The team focuses on statutory care and safeguarding responsibilities, regulatory compliance, and creating tailored care plans that reflect each child’s needs and aspirations.

* Passion for improving life outcomes for children and young people in care.
* Leadership, clarity and compassion; ability to inspire a team to deliver child-focused care.
* Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing children’s residential services.
* Experience in recruiting, supporting, and developing staff; ability to foster a learning culture and accountability.
* Commitment to listening to children and involving them in decisions; ability to tailor care to individual needs.
* Strategic thinking: policy development, resource management and service planning.
* Curiosity, commitment to learning and ongoing professional development.
* Enhanced DBS check is required.
