We are looking for an experienced, creative and forward‑thinking Learning & Development professional to join our Business Systems team.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how colleagues across Lancashire County Council use digital systems, tools and technologies with confidence.
Working at the heart of our People Services Directorate, you'll support our ambition to 'Think Differently', enabling a digitally confident workforce through high‑quality training, guidance and learning resources.
The role
As a Learning & Development Officer (Business Systems), you will:
* Design, deliver and evaluate engaging systems training for staff at all levels
* Create high‑quality digital learning content using modern tools and approaches
* Support colleagues in adapting to new systems, updates and digital ways of working
* Provide expert advice and guidance on learning solutions linked to business systems
* Lead and contribute to projects that improve how we train, support and upskill users
* Work collaboratively with services, partners and suppliers to share good practice
* Help ensure our learning offer meets organisational, legislative and accessibility standards
You'll play a key role in equipping staff with the skills they need to work effectively, adopt new technologies and deliver great services to our communities.
About you
You will be:
* An experienced trainer with a background in business systems, digital learning or similar
* Skilled in designing and delivering learning that meets a mix of user needs and learning styles
* Confident creating digital resources and working with modern learning platforms
* Able to explain technical information clearly to colleagues with varying levels of knowledge
* Organised, proactive and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
* Someone who builds strong relationships and works collaboratively to achieve shared outcomes
* Committed to our organisational values and to creating an inclusive, accessible learning experience
