Boutique hotel with spa facilities is currently recruiting an experienced Junior Chef de Partie to join their stable brigade. Set in the spectacular Essex countryside, this venue remains busy all year-round catering for Guests and special occasions. They use only the finest locally sourced ingredients to create dishes that keep tourists and locals alike coming back for more. This venue is easily accessible by car from Basildon, Grays and Upminster areas.
This is a great opportunity for a Chef de Partie to progress their career within a new catering concept.
Ideal candidate
As Chef de Partie you will be able to demonstrate a fresh food background and have a flair and originality to bring to the team. The ideal Chef de Partie must be a competent all-rounder, able to cover some sections, train junior members of staff, and have some knowledge of wastage and hygiene legislation.
You should have a passion for quality cuisine and a desire to learn new cooking concepts. The client will however consider an experienced Demi Chef de Partie that is looking for their 1st CDP position that they can train and mould into this role.
Qualification/Skill Required
* Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working at this level
* Level 2 Health and Hygiene Certificate
* NVQ in professional cookery / or equivalent, preferred
Salary Package
£27,700 plus bonus
42 hours per week spread over a 5 day week
Early shift 7am till 4pm
Late shift 12-9pm
