Overview
We are pleased to announce the expansion of our well established Diabetes service and are looking to recruit an Adolescent and Young Persons Diabetes Specialist Nurse with a particular interest in transition. This role is a newly created post, initially for 12 months, and will be working alongside the Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurses, Adult Diabetes Specialist Nurses, Dieticians, Psychologists, Consultants and sits within the Integrated Community Children’s Nursing Team working between paediatric and adult services.
Responsibilities
* Apply specialist diabetes knowledge to teaching colleagues, parents and young people in the management of their care.
* Engage audience effectively in teaching sessions.
Qualifications
* Sound knowledge base of diabetes.
* Outstanding communication and teaching skills.
