We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Distribution team as an LGV Driver at our Hams Hall site.
Location: Hams Hall, Coleshill, Birmingham
Salary: Competitive
Role Overview: The purpose of this role is to facilitate the company's delivery strategy by driving a Company LGV delivered vehicle, maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety as set out by Forterra. An LGV Driver is also a Company representative and plays a crucial role in our customer service, being one of the initial points of contact.
Physical Requirements: The role involves climbing and manual handling, so good physical fitness is essential.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
* Comply with LGV Drivers Hours Regulations
* Ensure compliance with Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing regulations
* Follow all Road Traffic Act and relevant legislation
* Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and policies
* Complete deliveries as instructed
* Communicate issues to relevant parties
* Drive fuel-efficient, safe, and conscious
* Average of 2 nights out per week
* Perform other relevant duties as requested by management
About You:
* Current LGV license
* Good geographical knowledge
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Good physical fitness
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Basic understanding of Health, Safety & Risk Assessment
