The purpose of the Sales Director is to ensure delivery of new business revenue and profit margin against the UK budget and medium-term plan.
The Sales Director will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of our services to ensure the company is the "go-to" provider for digital products.
Additionally, the Sales Director will be responsible for ensuring the sales team can meet budget and plan expectations through coaching, mentoring, training, and collaboration with the wider Digital Solutions teams from France and other regions.
Snapshot of key responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a pipeline of quality prospects to achieve sales targets.
* Ensure outstanding customer service, striving to exceed expectations.
* Promote a culture of right-first-time to enhance customer experience.
* Build positive relationships with key customers to understand their needs and maintain long-term contracts.
* Coordinate with engineering and operational managers to align commercial activities with operational constraints and opportunities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders for smooth implementation of new business, ensuring positive customer experiences.
* Maintain positive relationships across all divisions to drive business growth and profitability.
* Share information and coordinate with other regions to provide consistent services.
* Research industry changes, competitor strategies, and regulatory updates, sharing insights with stakeholders.
Ideal candidate profile:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or related field.
* Extensive post-degree experience in software sales and business development.
* Knowledge of optimization techniques applied to water and wastewater systems.
* Experience managing and developing high-performing sales teams to meet targets.
* Strong financial and commercial skills with a proven track record of winning new business and expanding existing accounts.
* Ability to identify multiple business drivers relevant to market development.
* Understanding of compliance and competitive environments.
* Experience managing service levels, customer expectations, and loyalty to maximize profits.
* Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
This is a remote position across the UK with travel requirements throughout the region.
