A genuinely superb opportunity to join a well run, highly commercial, highly profitable manufacturing business as they look to secure investment to optimise and maintain their steep growth trajectory.
They are looking for a high calibre, strategic CFO, who will help shape the business into an investment grade enterprise, who brings experience of building a high performing finance function, articulating business value and creating a value proposition which will secure the right type of investment for business growth.
The business has double digit EBITDA, zero debt, and top tier clients who are facilitating international growth.
As CFO, you will work closely with the board (SLT) to shape the company’s financial strategy, enhance performance analysis, and create long-term value.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the finance function and developing a high performing team, elevating the quality and detail of reporting and leading the ongoing optimisation of the newly implemented ERP system.
* Developing and executing financial strategies that enable sustained growth and profitability, both domestically and internationally.
* Demonstrating keen commercial acumen and insight to proactively navigate the challenges of a tempestuous global economic environment.
* Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure robust financial health.
* Driving value creation and optimising financial performance through data-driven insightful storytelling - with both detailed and simplified narratives.
* Navigating the company’s journey towards its next capital event, ensuring that financial structures and processes support this transition.
The successful candidate will have:
* A successful track record of post qualification strategic financial leadership within larger SMEs within manufacturing or adjacent industries.
* Experience in readying a business for sale and multi-track market approaches to include Private Equity and trade, with a strong appreciation of how to articulate business value, the optimum ways to present the market offering and engage with advisors.
* Strategic financial leadership in a business with significant international activity ideally including the US and Europe.
* High emotional intelligence, gravitas and be a credible operator with a business first approach, demonstrating confidence and resilience together with a detail orientation.
* Ideally this person will be open to remaining in the business post transaction, should that be appropriate.
