We're representing a well-established MEP contractor based in Mitcham, South London, who specialise in delivering CAT A/B commercial build projects across London and the South East. With a strong reputation for quality delivery and long‑standing client relationships, the business continues to grow and is now seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their management team.
Role Overview
As the Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple mechanical projects ranging in value from £100,000 to £5,000,000. You'll act as the project lead across several sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the management and delivery of multiple CAT A/B commercial build projects.
* Manage all stages of project delivery - from tender to completion and handover.
* Lead and coordinate project teams, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
* Work closely with design, commercial, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Maintain project budgets, programmes, and quality standards.
* Manage client relationships and represent the company at progress and coordination meetings.
* Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager within the MEP or building services industry.
* Strong background in commercial CAT A/B projects (essential).
* Experience managing multiple projects concurrently (values up to £5M).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Commercially astute with strong cost and contract management understanding.
* Based within a commutable distance of Mitcham / South London (essential).
* Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
