Senior Business Analyst – Commodities Expertise Required
6‑Month Contract | Inside IR35 | Hybrid - London
Our client, a leading Investment company, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the launch of new products and key strategic initiatives. This is a hands‑on role requiring close collaboration with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Risk, and Technology to gather requirements, analyse processes, and support the successful delivery of business and technology change.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead structured requirements gathering, documenting and analysing as‑is and to‑be processes in line with organisational standards.
* Work closely with stakeholders, SMEs, and change teams across multiple departments to assess impacts on business processes, systems, and technology.
* Analyse existing policies, data requirements, and systems to identify cross‑functional requirements supporting new product initiatives.
* Collaborate with business and technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements and consider operational impacts.
* Contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of business analysis activities within a Matrix programme environment.
* Provide clear and transparent status updates to programme leadership and key stakeholders.
* Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies across project workstreams.
* Maintain and update SOPs and supporting documentation, ensuring continuous improvement in processes.
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment, and expectation management throughout the project life cycle.
Required Experience
* Demonstrable business analysis experience in a Clearing House, Exchange, Member Firm, or ETD department within a bank is essential.
* 10+ years' experience working as a Senior Business Analyst in a Clearing House, Exchange, Member Firm or ETD department within a bank.
* Strong experience gathering requirements, analysing business processes, and producing clear documentation.
* Proven ability to work with business and technology stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives.
* Experience supporting product launches, change initiatives, or transformation programmes.
* Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
* Experience working with collaboration and project tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, and JIRA.
* Understanding of Agile and other project management methodologies.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience.
* Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, APM, or PMP.
