Job Summary
The unit includes a variety of facilities such as three secure gardens, a gym, patient practice kitchens, a patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas. The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced multi-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress. Closing date: 31 August 2026.
Responsibilities
* Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
* Undertake routine tasks and activities to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Provide clinical and leadership experience to support the wider nursing team.
* Respond flexibly to change and the developing needs of the service, and deputise in the absence of the ward manager when necessary.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN and 5 years post-qualifying experience.
* Relevant clinical experience and a positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement and quality.
* Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.Experience supervising nursing or care staff, willingness to undertake further clinical, managerial and leadership training, and a good level of computer literacy.
* Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a first-level nurse or with the Health and Care Professions Council, with appropriate registration or experience relevant to the ward.
* At least two years experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant care setting and a current Assessor / Supervisor qualification.
Job Details
* Location: Priory Hospital Cardiff, Dyfrig Road, Cardiff, Wales, CF5 5AD.
* Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
* Contract: Fixed term, 9 months.
* Working pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
* Salary: £50,471.20 per year.
