The Role You will undertake duties associated with Rail UK including payments, cash collection, and cash allocation. A day in the life of a Cashier & Credit Controller Cash forecasting and working with the corporate treasury team Liaising with customers to ensure timely and accurate cash collection, allocation and reporting First line response to customer queries on sales invoices Running monthly debt review meetings with key stakeholders Responsibility for company bank accounts including daily bank reconciliations for all accounts Completing BACS payment runs and one off payments for GBP, USD and EUR accounts Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Completing credit checks where required and setting appropriate credit limits for customers within the system Understanding of customer accounts to ensure that there are no credit issues or sale blocks within the systems Weekly completion of factoring reports for Caterpillar Responsibilities for providing information for internal and external company audits About You Essential Previous work experience in a credit controller role A passionate and customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills A proven ability to work well with internal / external customers Attention to detail Willingness to learn and embrace continuous improvement Accounting Full or Semi-Qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), AAT Qualification or someone with a desire to do accounting studies funded by the company.
