Position Description Reporting to the COO, the Head of Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of the company's marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, distribution and sales in the UK, EMEA and India. Success in this role will be measured by increased awareness and distribution of the Learning Resources brand, market development of pet brands Hunger For Words and Brightkins, and delivery of the Numberblocks MTL agreement commitments through the execution of targeted marketing campaigns across UK, EMEA and India. Being a proven leader, you will lead and mentor the Marketing team and contribute to the creation and execution of the local strategic plan. You will also collaborate with the global CMO to ensure alignment and execution of the global brand strategy. The role requires excellent strategic marketing and communication skills and experience in growing brands (including licensing) across multiple channels including ecommerce and International Markets. Scope of Responsibilities: Deliver against operational goals: Develop a comprehensive annual strategic marketing plan identifying opportunities, channel strategy and resource requirements to continue the growth in awareness, distribution and sales of our brands in EMEA including Numberblocks & Pet in line with the global company strategy and goals. Collaborate with US marketing colleagues: Work with the CMO and other key stakeholders to maintain alignment of short, medium and long term global marketing plans and brand strategy. Align budgets to support the optimal marketing mix: Using a data driven approach, ensure spend budgets across the marketing mix continue to maximise ROI, being agile in your approach throughout the year to ensure delivery of goals and capitalise on opportunities. Marketing data and metrics - In your first three months, conduct a review of internal and external marketing data and how it is currently being applied to inform marketing plans and decisions. Develop a suite of enhanced data point recommendations and measures using a data-led approach based on marketing and sales territory requirements. Partner with Sales and Amazon teams: Partner with the Sales and Amazon teams to create bespoke seasonal marketing plans supporting ecommerce and bricks & mortar opportunities across our territories. The plan must align with the sales and brand strategy and be tailored to local market needs and opportunities. Talent Development: Continuously review and develop training programmes with the goal of further developing a highly performing marketing team, ensuring the team has skillsets which equip them for the future as well as the now. Drive performance through alignment of goals, ongoing feedback, and periodic appraisal. Review the Digital marketing and Social Media strategy - Evaluate the digital marketing strategy including websites, advertising, email and social media channels, making firm recommendations on how to further leverage key platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Facebook to grow audience and engagement. Requirements/Preferences Bachelor's Degree or MBA in marketing 7-10 years marketing experience e-commerce, B2B, B2C, direct mail. Experience of building and enhancing brands across categories of business 3 years' direct line management/team leadership experience Experience developing brands through customer insights and data analytics.
