The BCBC Assia Domestic Abuse Service delivers a high-quality, proactive, and needs-led service to individuals affected by domestic abuse. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to join our team.
The successful candidate will work within a multi-agency framework, ensuring that victim safety remains central to all interventions. As an IDVA, you will provide specialist support to high-risk victims, represent their needs within the MARAC process, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to develop and implement robust, personalised safety plans.
This is a fixed-term post until March 2027 in the first instance, with the likelihood of a 12-month extension subject to continued grant funding.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
