Job Description
Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a London-based Local Authority for a Finance Business Partner (Adults) to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves supporting the Head of Finance in providing high-quality, flexible, professional finance support to the Adult Social Care Finance team.
Main Responsibilities
Support and deputise for the Head of Finance and Finance Manager in delivering financial support, advice, and guidance to the relevant service area.
Lead specific finance tasks related to the annual financial cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and closing accounts.
Conduct sensitivity analysis, review and challenge budget decisions, perform options appraisals, and lead detailed calculations for new funding and grants requests.
Provide financial input to procurement processes and oversee scoring of financial sections.
Identify opportunities to improve financial support and enhance efficiencies within service support.
Candidate Criteria
CCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant or Part-Qualified with extensive experience.
Experience in Finance Business Partnering within a Local Authority, preferably within Adult Social Care.
Excellent data interpretation and analysis skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Experience in analyzing and challenging budget decisions within complex organizations to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
