The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities include:
* Working closely with the Operations Manager and site teams to achieve programme and budget targets
* Ensuring forecast handover dates are realistic, accurate, and clearly communicated
* Managing contractual obligations specific to the project
* Leading and contributing to regular cost review meetings with site teams
* Preparing, maintaining, and implementing the project-specific Quality Plan
* Championing the highest standards of health, safety, and quality at all times
* Ensuring zero defects at practical completion, supported by a robust snagging process
* Managing construction programmes, schedules, and progress trackers
* Deputising for the Operations Manager at site meetings when required
* Building strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems
* Managing, mentoring, and developing site teams
* Supporting the commercial team with legal, contractual, or insurance matters
* Liaising with Social Value representatives where required to support client commitments
* Undertaking any other reasonable duties to support the effective running of the business
Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience managing large-scale construction projects and multi-disciplinary teams
* Industrial / Logistics experience desirable but not essential
* Proven track record of promoting and maintaining exemplary health & safety standards
* Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and defect management
* Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programming, risk management, and cost control
* Experience delivering Residential, Industrial, Retail, or Commercial projects up to £50m
* Trade background or a degree in Construction Management (or related discipline)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerproject
* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely qualification
* First Aid certification
