Associate Professor / Professor in Marketing – University of Bristol
The University of Bristol Business School invites applications for a full‑time, open‑ended Associate Professor / Professor in Marketing. The role offers leadership within the Marketing and Consumption Group, contributing to research, teaching, and engagement that aligns with the school’s priorities in digital marketing, consumption, and the nexus of marketing, consumption and society.
What you will be doing
* Conduct high‑quality research in marketing and management, with a track record of publications and ongoing work.
* Provide inspiring and innovative teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with openness to interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Develop and enhance teaching provision, including design, development, and review of courses.
* Supervise MSc dissertations and PhD theses in leading capacity; act as personal tutor to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
* Mentor colleagues on teaching and research; contribute to leadership within the School or University through service on committees or working groups.
* Engage with external audiences to enhance research impact and knowledge exchange; seek external funding from research councils, government, industry and/or other sources.
* Support and contribute to the strategic direction of the Marketing and Consumption Group, and participate in interdisciplinary programmes with colleagues from other disciplines.
Qualifications and attributes
* Consistently pursuing high‑quality research in marketing and related fields.
* Strong academic publications in marketing, with published, forthcoming, and planned work.
* Experience in teaching and marking at multiple levels, including executive education.
* Ability to lead research projects, secure external funds, and engage with non‑academic audiences.
* Experience supervising postgraduate dissertations and mentoring colleagues; ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
