Commercial Sales Executive
Role Purpose
The Commercial Sales Executive is responsible for developing and managing business-to-business (B2B) relationships to drive new and used commercial vehicle sales. The role focuses on prospecting, account management, finance solutions, and delivering tailored vehicle and fleet proposals to meet customer business needs while achieving volume, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development

Identify, prospect, and develop new B2B customers and fleet opportunities

Manage and grow an existing portfolio of business customers
*
Promote new and used commercial vehicles, conversions, and ancillary products
*
Conduct on-site customer visits and vehicle demonstrations
Account Management
*
Build long-term relationships with local businesses, fleet operators, and key accounts
*
Understand customer operational needs and provide tailored vehicle solutions
*
Maintain regular contact and follow-up to maximise retention and repeat business
Finance & Product Sales
*
Present and arrange finance, leasing, and funding options in line with FCA regulations
*
Maximise penetration of finance, maintenance, and additional products
*
Ensure compliance with Consumer Duty and sales process standards
Pipeline & CRM Management
*
Accurately manage leads, opportunities, and customer data within the CRM system
*
Maintain a strong sales pipeline and forecasting accuracy
*
Follow up enquiries promptly and professionally
Stock & Pricing
*
Work closely with management to manage stock availability, pricing, and ageing
*
Ensure all vehicle specifications and conversions meet customer requirements
Customer Experience
*
Deliver a professional and consultative sales experience
*
Handle customer queries and objections effectively
*
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and referral business
