Key Requirements: Degree or HNC/HND qualification in Engineering or Materials, or equivalent industry experience Proven experience as a Technologist in the Automotive or Aerospace sectors Key Responsibilities: Lead Metallurgical Testing - Act as the primary technical authority in the lab, conducting tests, first article inspections, and reporting in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap standards. Ensure Quality & Compliance - Maintain rigorous testing quality, ensure customer specifications are met, support audits, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate Across Departments - Liaise with manufacturing and engineering to align metallurgical activities, support investigations, and contribute to development initiatives. Mentor & Improve - Support junior lab staff with training and mentorship, and lead efforts to streamline lab processes, improve turnaround times, and reduce costs.
