Your role
* Provide Intensive Housing Management support to deliver high quality, value for money services.
* Develop, build and maintain relationships with customers, staff and external agencies, to ensure the effective provision of services to meet the current and future needs of customers.
* Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is offered to assist customers in accessing training, education opportunities and volunteering experience.
* Liaising with Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, Managing a tenancy, sign posting to external services.
* Maintain, monitor and report on service delivery and standards as set by the Local Authority Supporting People and other relevant bodies, including Health and Safety legislation.
* Maintain and promote the economic viability of services including sustaining occupancy levels, managing voids and monitoring rent accounts, ensuring that licence tenancy conditions are managed appropriately.
* Ensure appropriate relationships are established and maintained through promoting and managing customer involvement.
* Support and manage all frontline complaints for service area in-line with policy, focussing on first contact resolution and the identification of future learning opportunities to achieve service excellence.
* Represent the organisation at external events and meetings and build relationships with potential stakeholders to promote the service.
* Ensure that all building safety requirements are achieved including Premises Management folder, repairs, risk assessments and any other health and safety service requirements.
* Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives.
(This role is sometimes also referred to as Senior Support Worker or Senior Support Assistant).
Your skills
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this
* Experience supporting people who have experienced homelessness
* Knowledge of housing management, including rents, tenancies and health and safety
* Understanding of occupancy agreements
* Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
* Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
