Are you experienced in the development and delivery of teaching and assessment in Urban Planning and Resilience? If so, this part‑time, fixed‑term Senior Lecturer position may be ideal.
The School of Arts and Architecture hosts an RTPI accredited MSc in Urban Planning and Resilience. This role will involve developing and delivering innovative teaching and undertaking internationally excellent research in the subject area.
Responsibilities
* Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop students’ critical discourse on planning theories and resilience, including net‑zero commitments.
* Design and deliver high‑quality, student‑centred teaching across a range of settings, including developing teaching materials and learning support.
* Contribute to curriculum development in planning and resilience, and convene and teach appropriate modules.
* Disseminate research findings through high‑quality journal publications and conference presentations, enhancing the university’s research profile.
Qualifications
* PhD in planning or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/qualifications.
* An emerging record of international research excellence with high‑quality outputs in urban planning.
* Broad and deep specialist knowledge in urban planning and resilience to teach postgraduate and support undergraduate courses.
* Ability to develop, deliver, and supervise high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
