About the Role We are looking for a Datadog specialist to support a short-term engagement focused on migrating observability tooling from Grafana to Datadog. This is a hands-on contract role where you will take ownership of migrating dashboards, metrics, and monitoring configurations, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to existing services. You will work closely with Appvia engineers to implement best practices in observability and ensure the platform is well-instrumented, scalable, and easy to operate. You will bring: Strong experience with Datadog (essential) Experience working with Grafana (migration experience highly desirable) Good understanding of observability principles (metrics, logs, tracing) Experience working in AWS environments Ability to work independently and deliver in a short timeframe Responsibilities Lead the migration of observability tooling from Grafana to Datadog Recreate and optimise dashboards, alerts, and monitoring configurations Ensure metrics, logs, and traces are correctly integrated and visualised in Datadog Improve visibility, alerting, and operational insights across the platform Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure minimal disruption during migration Apply best practices for observability, monitoring, and alerting Benefits Why Join Appvia?
