Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager you will work closely with the Senior Buyer to ensure all materials are on site, and on time for the smooth day to day running of production. Whats in it for you: Starting salary of up to £35,000 Employee discount card for local and national restaurants and retail outlets Hybrid working Personal development and career progression opportunities Responsibilities in your new role: Sourcing and procurement of materials, ensuring that purchases align with the company's needs and budget Analysing trends to make informed buying decisions to support Building relationships with suppliers, negotiating best price and lead times whilst continually monitoring performance Work with a continuous improvement mindset continually searching for solutions to reduce costs Identifying and processing Purchase Orders in line with ERP Updating inventory and managing stock levels Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery Coordinating shipping and plant hire to meet installation schedules Frequently liaise with engineering, production, finance, aftermarket and stores teams What you will need to succeed: A minimum of 2 years experience working in a purchasing department within a fast paced, manufacturing environment Proficiency with MRP/ERP and all Microsoft Office packages Demonstratable experience of purchasing and negotiating skills For a confidential conversation on how Capex Recruitment can support you with your next move, reach out to Chris Quinn our Supply Chain specialist today.
