The Football Association Women's England Talent Pathway Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist CASUAL CONTRACT Across England dependent on event location OUR GOAL Win a major tournament with sustained success thereafter. THE ROLE This exciting role will support the delivery of the Women's England Talent Pathway and provide an excellent medical service to players at our Future Lionesses Talent ID and Top Talent events. We are seeking experienced Physiotherapists and Sports therapists across the country who are passionate about supporting the identification of young players for potential future England Women Teams selection. The events are held in five regions (North East, North West, Midlands and East, London and South East, and South West). The Women's England Talent Pathway run up to 40 events across the season including National Events. The remuneration will be per event plus travel expenses. We expect the ability to cover a minimum of 3 events in your region and the opportunity to support on National Events as required. We are looking for physiotherapists and sports therapists in the Midlands & East, North West and North East areas. Key elements of the roles will include: Lead/support the delivery of proactive medical and related services to specific events as required Support the acute injury management and rehabilitation of Talent Pathway players in line with department frameworks Lead/support on emergency action planning and intervening with appropriate medical provision Ensure clear communication of player status to coaching staff and other multi-disciplinary team (MDT) members on event Keep physiotherapy records of all consultations, ensuring records are confidential and secure via an Athlete Management System Effectively capture, record, and utilize data to support player management Develop and maintain close working relationships with talent pathway coaches and performance support staff to ensure an effective multi-disciplinary approach to delivery Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities Ability to review and adapt processes to fit the event demand Deliver educational content for key aspects of performance medicine to support best practice in the preparation and management of players for international football THE PERSON The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills and experience : Essential BSc in Physiotherapy and/or Sports Therapy Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered or equivalent Member of the CSP or equivalent Current ITMMiF or ATMMIF qualification (equivalent courses may be considered) FA Safeguarding Course Qualification and FA Enhanced DBS clearance Hold the appropriate indemnity insurance for elite sport and working with children Desirable Able to work weekends and evenings Experience as a therapist in elite/youth sport Experience working pitch side and management of acute injuries Strong evidence-based physiotherapy delivery skills Outstanding ability to communicate and build relationships with players, staff, and wider groups of stakeholders Ability to interpret and utilize data related to athlete health and physical performance Experience utilizing Athlete Management Systems and Microsoft operating systems Track record of successfully integrating into an MDT of staff Good planning and prioritisation skills What's in it for you?
