Global FMCG manufacturing business require a Procurement Manager. Applicants need both strategic and operational procurement expertise, experience of or the ability to manage Buyers and comfort working in a matrix environment. The Procurement Manager will lead all site based procurement activities (direct and indirect), operational and strategic while collaborating with global procurement colleagues across the matrix. Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include: Lead, manage and develop a high-performing procurement team of Buyers and Senior Buyers. Running tenders (cradle-to-grave) and leading strategic sourcing activities Ensure continuity of supply based on demand forecasts and inventory levels. Supplier Relationship Management - Supplier Reviews, Performance Management and Development Contract Management activities including contract negotiations and agreement of SLAs Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support the development of procurement staff, policies, best practices, and systems. Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria: Previous experience at managerial level - Procurement Manager, Procurement Team Leader, or Procurement Supervisor, or Strategic Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Category Manager seeking a move into management. Procurement experience within a global, matrix structured business within; manufacturing or FMCG Strategic procurement skills - ability to run tenders, negotiate and manage supplier and contractual arrangements MRP/ERP literacy Experience/ability to use data to drive procurement decisions
