ROLE SUMMARY
We are currently looking for a talented and driven Group Financial Accountantto play a key role in our Group Finance team. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will support the timely and accurate preparation of group financial information and submissions to the parent company, Nikon Corporation.
This role supports a range of Group accounting and compliance activities – including consolidation, reporting, internal controls, corporation tax, and transfer pricing – ensuring compliance with both Group and statutory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial submissions to the parent company (via DIVA), ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
2. Prepares supporting analysis for submissions to the parent company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group policies and accounting standards.
3. Prepares group finance lease revenue calculations.
4. Assists with group consolidation entries and maintains the integrity of the consolidation system (Adaptive).
5. Prepare the Estimated Credit Loss for Trade Debtors.
6. Manages group cashflow forecasting, providing regular updates to the Group Financial Controller.
7. Supports the group budget process, including coordination with local entities and preparation of reporting packs.
8. Assists in the co-ordination of the group audit process, including preparation of supporting documentation for key judgement areas.
9. Acts as Finance Business Partner for the HR, Legal, Finance and Admin departments, providing financial insight and support.
10. Prepares and maintains group transfer pricing documentation, including quarterly transfer pricing adjustments and benchmarking studies.
11. Manages various aspect of corporation tax, including reporting to the parent company and acting as a key interface with external tax advisors.
12. Assists in the co-ordination of the group insurance renewal and internal assurance processes.
13. Manages capital expenditure review, reporting and monitoring.
14. Performs other general accounting duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
15. Professional Qualification in Accountancy: ACCA or CA ( years PQE).
16. Experience in a customer-focused environment is beneficial.
17. Previous experience in preparation of statutory accounts preferred.
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
19. Experience with Diva, Hyperion or other consolidation / reporting systems is an advantage.
20. Strong time management skills, with a proven ability to deliver accurate reports to tight deadlines.
21. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
22. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
