Role
Exciting opportunity to join the administration team in the Emergency Department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The post is part of a very busy team requiring a flexible approach to service needs, a pleasant personality, and a positive attitude. The post holder will provide effective administrative support to the clinical team in the Emergency Department and maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with staff, patients, carers and relatives.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive reception service to the Emergency Department as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Ensure an effective service is provided and patient satisfaction is maximised.
* Exercise own judgement to promptly and efficiently resolve patient queries within own professional constraints.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with courtesy and discretion at all times.
* Support any administrative tasks required by the clinical team to enable smooth department operation.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Good standard of education.
* Adaptable with good organisational skills.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to deal with sensitive matters and highly confidential patient information.
* Flexibility to work a rolling pattern (examples: Tue/Wed 17:00–22:30; Sat/Sun 09:00–15:15; Mon 17:00–22:30; Sat/Sun 15:45–22:30; Thu/Fri 17:00–22:30).
