Responsibilities
* Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
* Use calm, consistent strategies to de‑escalate challenging behaviour and support emotional regulation.
* Build strong, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and stability.
* Support teachers in delivering tailored learning experiences that meet emotional and behavioural needs.
* Promote resilience, self‑regulation, and positive decision‑making.
* Help maintain a structured, safe and supportive learning environment.
* Encourage pupils to re‑engage with education and take pride in their progress.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
* Background in education, youth work, care, sports coaching or alternative provision.
* Remain calm, confident and resilient in high‑pressure situations.
* Build positive relationships quickly and effectively.
* Communicate clearly and work well within a team.
* Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and succeed.
