What You’ll Do Strategic Leadership & Performance Co-develop business line strategy with the Managing Director. Identify and deliver performance improvement opportunities. Provide financial insight that drives operational and commercial success. Planning, Forecasting & Reporting Lead robust planning and forecasting processes. Deliver accurate, timely, and relevant financial and management information. Maintain and evolve reporting tools and KPIs. Business Analysis & Risk Management Conduct deep-dive analysis to support decision-making. Ensure effective business controls and risk management. Support capital expenditure planning and tracking. Operational & Commercial Excellence Identify opportunities for growth and efficiency, challenge assumptions, and support the delivery of results. Manage distribution costs (road, rail, MRL JV). Develop tools for pricing, bid success tracking, and inventory planning. Optimise sourcing, pit balance, and commercial pricing strategies. Marine Business Oversight Lead financial management for the Marine business, including transaction accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Team Leadership & Compliance Build and lead a high-performing finance team. Ensure full compliance with statutory and company requirements. Project & Development Support Provide financial leadership on strategic projects and business development initiatives. What You Bring University degree Professional accounting qualification, ACA or CIMA with demonstrable post-qualification experience A strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting Confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders A passion for driving performance and continuous improvement Leadership skills to build and develop a high-performing team Why Join us?
