We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Manchester area to recruit passionate and committed Family Support Workers to join their Children Services team. In this vital role, you'll support the work of a team undertaking direct work with children and families to promote and safeguard the welfare of children. You will work with children who are subject to Child Protection, Child in Need, and Looked After Children plans, ensuring that every child receives the right help, at the right time. You'll: Contribute to and implement individual care and support plans alongside parents, carers, social workers, and partner agencies. Provide practical help, advice, and emotional support to families through home visits and community-based work. Build local knowledge of community and health resources to help families access support and improve outcomes. Contribute to assessments, reviews, and multi-agency meetings, ensuring high-quality written and verbal input. Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with council policies and share information appropriately.
