Overview
We are in search of a Systems Engineering Lead for our Leidos engineering capability. The successful Systems Engineer will have a full understanding of the principles of systems engineering, experience as a Systems Engineer on a major programme involving accepting and integrating deliveries from suppliers, and will contribute to transforming legacy systems to cloud as part of a key programme for a central government customer. This role has direct impact on current and future iterations of critical national infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Lead a high-performing team to deliver IT services to a central government agency.
* Work with customers and suppliers to execute/lead Systems Engineering activities across the full lifecycle.
* Apply development lifecycle, requirements management & design, and baseline management with a solid understanding of the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook.
* Experience with Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
* Perform Trade Studies, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to stakeholders.
* Maintain a solid foundation in security principles and practices.
* Desirable technical knowledge: familiarity with On-Premise Infrastructure solutions (e.g., VMWare ESXI, SAN Storage) and AWS-based Cloud solutions; experience in a Bid/pre-sales environment; knowledge of TOGAF/MODAF.
* Demonstrate customer-centric, proactive problem solving and ownership, with a focus on process improvements and delivering outcomes.
* Display professional behaviors such as discretion, decision-making impact, delegation, collaboration, risk assessment, knowledge sharing, and methodical resolution of complex issues.

Requirements and Preferences
* Security clearance: due to the nature of the project, the role will require having or obtaining SC clearance.
* Pay range: £60,100.00 - £77,000.00 (as listed).
