Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Timber Frame Installer to join Vistry Works, the manufacturing arm of Vistry Group. Starting from September 2026, you will learn the trade of erecting pre‑manufactured timber frame homes on construction sites as part of our expanding programme following a successful initial cohort.
As a Trainee Timber Frame Installer, you will be immersed in both the theoretical and practical aspects of timber frame work, gaining experience in health, safety and environmental principles; quality assurance processes; build programme and scheduling; project specifications and technical design; and customer service elements associated with timber frame operations. Alongside hands‑on experience, you will work towards a Level 2 Construction Assembly Installation Operative Apprenticeship in partnership with a registered training provider.

Key Responsibilities
• Help implement and control site‑based activities in line with project requirements and company procedures
• Maintain excellent health and safety standards on site
• Assist in planning and carrying out necessary works within required timeframes
• Manage quality of works according to technical specifications and building regulations
• Be aware of budgetary constraints, cost control and commercial implications
• Monitor and feedback on issues arising from client or internal functions and services
• Provide and record necessary quality assurance feedback
• Minimise waste and provide suggestions for value engineering where possible
• Minimise the environmental impact of construction projects wherever possible
