Job Description
3. Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
4. Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures within the AP team.
5. Lead and manage a team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
6. Review and reconcile supplier statements, resolving discrepancies where necessary.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
8. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
9. Prepare reports and provide insights on AP performance to senior management.
10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive their implementation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful AP Manager should have:
11. A strong background in accounts payable within the Housing, real estate or construction environment.
12. Part/fully qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA.
13. Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team.
14. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
15. Familiarity with MS dynamics 365 financial systems and strong excel user.
16. Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
17. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
18. A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
