About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a leading global enterprise software vendor recognised for its modern, people-focused approach to ERP and financial systems. As part of their continued UK expansion, we’re seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant with deep expertise in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) solutions.
This is a high-impact position for someone who enjoys engaging senior finance and technology stakeholders, shaping digital transformation journeys, and demonstrating how modern SaaS solutions can unlock business agility, insight, and efficiency.
The Role
As Senior Pre-Sales Consultant, you’ll act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle — from early discovery and needs analysis through to tailored demonstrations and RFP support. You’ll work closely with Sales Directors, Solution Architects, and Product teams to translate customer requirements into compelling solution stories that showcase real business value.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading discovery sessions with CFOs, Finance Directors, and FP&A teams to understand their business challenges and processes.
* Designing and delivering tailored product demonstrations across FP&A and EPM capabilities, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting.
* Supporting commercial teams in developing winning strategies and proposals for enterprise-level opportunities.
* Contributing to thought leadership, customer workshops, and industry events to promote solution excellence.
* Acting as a subject matter expert, advising both customers and internal teams on best-practice financial transformation approaches.
* Collaborating with global pre-sales peers to continuously enhance demo environments, scripts, and competitive positioning.
About You
You combine finance domain expertise with a passion for technology-enabled transformation. You’re credible in front of the C-suite, commercially astute, and capable of building strong relationships that instil confidence and trust.
Essential skills & experience:
* Proven pre-sales experience in FP&A, EPM, or Financial Management software (e.g. Unit4 FP&A, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Board, IBM Planning Analytics, Oracle PBCS, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.).
* Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, and performance management processes.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills — capable of engaging both business and technical audiences.
* Experience supporting complex enterprise-level sales cycles, ideally across the public sector, professional services, or education industries.
* Collaborative, consultative approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Preferred:
* Background in finance, accounting, or business analysis.
* Exposure to ERP integration or adjacent systems such as HCM or procurement.
* Experience working with cloud/SaaS solutions and digital transformation projects.
