We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Young persons support worker to join our client's team and play a vital role in supporting young people transitioning out of care. You will work directly with care leavers aged 16–18, helping them build independent, fulfilling lives through guidance, advocacy, and practical support.
Key Responsibilities of a young persons support worker

Provide one-to-one support for care leavers, promoting their emotional well-being, independence, and personal development.

Help young people access housing, education, employment, and training opportunities.
*
Support with life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and managing tenancies.
*
Work closely with local authorities, social workers, housing providers, and other agencies.
*
Keep accurate records and contribute to support plans and reviews.
*
Act as an advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are met.
About You as a Young persons support worker

Essential Criteria for a young persons support worker

Experience working with vulnerable young people or those with complex needs.

Understanding of trauma-informed approaches.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
*
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
Desirable:
