Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Solihull
Salary: £12.25 – £13.50 per hour (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Production Operative to join a thriving manufacturing team in Solihull. This role requires strong sewing skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Start Date: Likely to be early January 2026, however interviews will be arranged ASAP for suitable candidates.
Hours of Work
o 07:00 – 03:00
o Includes a 30-minute unpaid break and a 15-minute paid tea break
Key Responsibilities
o Operate industrial sewing machinery to produce high-quality stitched components
o Work with a range of production equipment, including flatbeds, ASP, CCP, BCP, and PPS
o Accurately cut fabric in line with measurements, templates, and production specifications
o Follow detailed patterns, instructions, and quality standards
o Complete basic numerical tasks such as measuring, counting, and calculating allowances
o Conduct quality checks on finished products
o Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
o Contribute effectively to team targets and production deadlines
Requirements
o Experience using sewing machinery is essential
o Soft furnishing sewing experience is advantageous
o Pattern matching experience is a bonus
o Good numerical skills
o Strong team player with good communication skills
o Excellent attention to detail
o Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
o Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of work
