At Kick ICT, we’re looking for a Technical Field Engineer to deliver exceptional on-site support across a wide range of IT environments. What You’ll Be Doing
* Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
* Carry out installations, upgrades, and repairs for PCs, laptops, printers, and network equipment
* Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points
* Work closely with the Service Desk to ensure quick and effective incident resolution
* Maintain accurate documentation of site visits and resolutions
* Assist with workshop-based repairs and equipment preparation when needed
* Identify recurring issues and recommend preventive measures
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Previous experience in technical support or field engineering
* Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and server environments
* Experience configuring and supporting network switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable (not essential):
* IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA)
* Experience with Fortigate Firewalls and Unifi Wireless
* Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
* Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
