Your new role Prepare clear and accurate cost estimates for projects. Support and guide junior team members when needed. Prepare and negotiate changes to the main contract. Manage costs effectively to help maintain strong project profitability. Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, environmental, and company standards. Review, assess, and certify subcontractor payment applications. Track and control project costs to stay within approved budgets. Identify project risks and help develop plans to reduce them. Handle subcontractor procurement, including preparing and issuing agreements. Assist in preparing documents needed for dispute resolution processes. What you'll need to succeed Extensive background as a Quantity Surveyor, with expertise in managing projects under the NEC form of contract. Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects for a main contractor. Skilled in applying innovative solutions to complex problems and adept at negotiating across all levels within the construction environment. Highly ambitious professional with strong communication skills, confidence, and a flexible approach to challenges.
