The role will involve working closely with pupils who have additional learning needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You'll play a key role in helping students stay engaged, build confidence, and access learning in a supportive setting. About the Role In this position, you will work alongside teaching staff to provide tailored support to pupils who require extra guidance throughout the school day. The school promotes a positive, structured approach to learning and places strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing and behavioural development. Your Duties Will Include Delivering targeted support on a 1:1 basis and within small groups Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs Encouraging positive interactions and building strong relationships with students Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies Helping pupils remain focused, motivated, and on task Responding calmly to challenging behaviour using effective behaviour strategies Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities Contributing to a safe and engaging learning environment What We're Looking For Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND A proactive, adaptable and empathetic approach Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations positively Strong teamwork and communication skills A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners Availability for a full-time role from September
