We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Works Supervisor to become a vital part of our team on the M6 Routine Operation & Maintenance project near Lockerbie. In this role, you will be an integral member of the contract team, reporting directly to the Major Maintenance Manager.
This position is offered on a Fixed Term Contract until late 2027.

Your Profile
What Will Your Responsibilities Be?
As a Works Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
* Organizing and coordinating all logistical operations for several major maintenance contracts, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
* Liaising with Autolink and external organizations for major maintenance contracts, assisting with structure inspections and maintenance schemes.
* Managing and supervising various work packages based on project requirements, which may include night shifts and weekend work.
* Conducting site reviews of Major Maintenance Scope of Works prior to package commencement.
* Ensuring subcontractors provide proof of up-to-date CSCS and CPCS cards.
* Implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensuring all checks are completed and documented.
* Participating in start-up and progress meetings, familiarizing yourself with the scope of works for each package.
* Managing subcontractors in line with CMS requirements and documenting meeting minutes and actions.
* Liaising with various stakeholders, including the Employer's Agent and Emergency Services, to identify any necessary actions.
* Ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations.
* Maintaining driver log books and ensuring vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
* Reporting any health and safety breaches immediately and ensuring proper documentation.
What Skills and Knowledge Are Essential?
* Experience in the Highways Maintenance Sector with a solid understanding of relevant processes.
* Good knowledge of maintenance products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
* Familiarity with software packages such as Insight, Highstone, IRIS, and SMS.
* A degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* A valid Construction Skills Certificate Card.
